Equality Plan
In school on Friday we
were talking about the "Likabehandlingsplan" which is the plan
Johannes School have which tells how everyone should be treated the same and no
one should be teased, bullied or left out. Our class would read one paragraph
at a time and try to summarize it in one sentence, it worked out well.
Here is our summary so far.
At Johannes School we have a plan that tells us to treat everyone equally with respect. Everyone should be treated according to their own needs. Our differences make us stronger and special.
Photo analysis
This week we analyzed a photo
and answered some questions about the photo. The questions were grouped in four different
letters. We did this so we could get a grade in art. We discussed some of the
questions like when it could be or where it could be and we discussed about it
for a long time. Here is the photo that we analyzed.
Next week in school, we will analyze a photo that will be assessed as part of our Art grade.
Art
This week in art we had a substitute named Lolu because
our original teacher (Ulla) was sick. Ulla our original teach will not be able to give us a full grade because she has been absent many times that is why
Hillary and Lolu will help her with the grades. But anyways we made folders
that we later on will put our work in.
Home economics
This week in home economics we were only talking about
washing and what you use and how to wash clothes and sorting them in colors,
dark colors for themselves and colorful colors for themselves. After writing
all that down on paper we looked at all the signs that are on a tag inside most
shirts. There were five kinds of signs. Squares to show if it can handle tumble
drying. Circles was "kemtvätt", the triangle was if it could handle
clorine bleeching syrum inside the washing liquids, then the 4th kind decides
how to wash it (with, without water, by hand etc) and the 5h kind was wether
you could and how warm you could iron it. Then the firedrill went off and we
spent most the rest of the lesson on that.
The show in aulan
On Thursday we watched a show in
aulan at 10:00. The show went on for 45 minutes and the theme was
acrobatics/story and it was a little childish. I think it was meant for younger
audience so it was a little boring but it also had moments of being super cool.
There was one part where a man juggled and that looked really cool and then a
woman stood on the mans head. Overall it was a nice experience and we would do
it again even though it was probably for a more young audience and not for 6th
graders.
Bodies of several bodies
found in a town close to the Czech border
German police say the bodies of
several babies have been found in a town close to the Czech border.
The dead were discovered on
Thursday after a woman in a town called Wallenfels called the police. Police
said they were going to interview the previous owner of the house, a
45-year-old women. It is not clear how long the bodies had been there for or
how the babies died. German media reported that a couple with many children had
been living in the property but had recently separated.
Swedish National Test
We did the Swedish national test and it was pretty fun we
made a text about our favorite food. There was groups of three and one that was
four. Then listens to a recorded story about these cousins that go and stay at
there aunts island. We only listened to
five or six minutes. We also got some
questions about the story. Each group hade a 30min.
Book Report
This week we got a new book report. This time we are
supposed to read a historical fiction book. The book report is due on the 3d of
December. We got a paper where it said everything that we where going to write.
There where two parts that had three points in each. Our job is to write about
two points on each.
Textile Crafts
This week in crafts we worked on a piece of clothing.
Some people did hats or shoes others did shirts. We are going to be graded on
these pieces of clothing and it has taken a long time. In wood work we some
people were still working on their old work and some started to do their own
stuff.
Maths (graphs)
This week we went over graphs, it was good to refresh are memory of how to read a
graph. After that we got some papers with different questions with t. ex bar
graphs, line graphs and photographs. Some people are done and some aren't, I
think that it was pretty easy but some questions where harder.
