Crazy Sickness
This week has been
crazy because of sicknesses. We had 8 kids sick on Thursday and 7 kids sick on
Friday. This has to do with the flu coming. Some kids were even gone the entire
week. 4 kids left school in the middle of the day on Tuesday, the reason they
stayed was to do the National Tests. I hope this goes over quick and I wish a
healthy recovery for all kids who are sick.
Here are some ideas
for you if you are sick: Be at home and stay warm, eat things like noodles or
soup, take medicine based on your sickness and get good, long, uninterrupted
sleeps.
National Tests In Maths
This week we had national tests in maths and it was oral.
We got divided up in groups of 3-4 people and we all did them on Tuesday.
Everyone got a paper with a bar graph and some pie graphs on it. We all got a
building that we were supposed to find out the answer for and then present for
the rest of the group how you got the answer. You were supposed to discuss in a
group and help each other if someone needed help.
SO(cial
studies)
The
last couple of weeks we have been
working with the Swedish "Stormakts tiden"with Patrik. Earlier today
(27th of November) we started working with the Swedish "Frihets
tiden" by watching Swedish show
called "Historie
Ätarna" where a Swedish couple pretend to live in different ages and eat
disgusting foods that they ate back then. Thee were living in in frihets tiden
or pretended to live in frihets tiden.
In Sweden it is tradition to make a Christmas calendar
every year for the children in Sweden. This year it will be inspired by the
Swedish show historical eaters about people who eat the same food as others
from a long time ago. This years Christmas tv show is called " tusen år
till julafton". Lotta Lundgren and Erik Haag from historiaätarna are going
to be in it. "Tusen år till julafton" is about two grownups and a
bunch of kids travel thru time starting at vikingatiden 1015 to Christmas 2015.
We have
decided to do a special day, this week
on class meeting we decided a date, and
now we are supposed to decide what we should have for a special day. Hillary is
not going to now what we have for a special day. So it's going to be a surprise
for her. We came up with two ideas, a gender day where boys have dresses or
something that is typical girl clothes . Girls have suits or typical boy clothes. The second idea what was
that everyone have red blue or white clothes on to respect people's loss in
France.
